Quit noodling about it..pull the wheel(s) and have them checked. Or drive to a shop and have them do it.
Once I took a jack and a crossbar wrench to AutoThority (a Porsche tuner here in Fairfax, VA) in my 84 900T that I was having the devil's own time getting to run smooth. The shop foreman was a Saab fanatic...the tires/wheels had been balanced several times by what was then NTW (now NTB) and still vibrated. The AutoThority balancer showed at least one wheel/tire was better balanced w/o the NTB weights! Clearly incompetent help. Once the tires were correctly balanced they were smooth right up to 85mph...as fast as I drove them that day. Never thought about it again until I had to have tires replaced.
That being said, you could still have a bent rim. Have them checked.
