OK. The story of the engine. It came from a car in which there was no transmission, The tranny was removed from bottom and engine was just "hanging out". I was told it ran nice. It sat in my basement for a while. So now ive done a bunch to it to get it back to shape, adding a good 5spd, clutch, etc. Anyway none of that is on there now. No flywheel anything. I dont know why Ive never tried to turn it over before, but now it just stops dead at one point. It is possible I turned it the wrong way before (taking off old flywheel and things). So now i have no option but to go the wrong way alittle bit and back to try and examine things. While doing this I notice the chain would change tensions. Is that my problem there? Or am I looking at block issues? Any ideas. What can I do to chain to fix if problem? Do I have to take off head? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks you.
