I assume you have no voltage on each side of the brass thingy (over heat cut out switch)on top of A/C compressor?
What about the coolant switch on top of upper radiator hose? Check for voltage on both side of that switch.
Some people have a tendency to replace that switch in beleives that it will cure an overheating problem. What they do is they install a regular cooling fan switch and that makes the A/C compressor turn on only when coolant gets hot.
