The lights stay on until the pressure hits a minimum. The longer the car sits, the longer it has for the pressure to leak down. No valve is perfect, so they do leak pressure. Perfectly normal.
The amount of time it takes for the lights to go out depends on the starting pressure and the pump speed. Starting pressure depends on how fast it leaks down, and how long it has to leak. Temperature will have an effect. As to pump speed, that depends on the individual pump, battery voltage, phase of the moon. As cars age, it takes them longer to get up to pressure (true of us all).
If the lights go out in 30-45 seconds after sitting overnight, no big deal. What counts is that they don't come on when driving. The 10 pumps for the lights to come on is on the low side of acceptable, but is acceptable. Take your fix and enjoy.
