I am about to purchase a '90 SPG with ABS and the brakes are stiff as a rock. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ME ADVICE ON TROUBLESHOOTING THIS SYSTEM. I have read ALOT of previous posts and feel comfortable on how to diagnos the ABS system although I have yet to try.
I had an 89 SPG and had no issues with the standard brake setup. Has anyone OR is it possible to pull the ABS pump and accumulator assembly and go to a standard vac. booster and MC? The cost of these parts new are close to what just a pressure switch is new! Are the brake lines anywhere close to being in the right spot? Would disconnecting the ABS electronics cause other problems (i would just unlpug the ABS light) Any input is welcomed.
Thanks in advance,
Chad
