Anyone ever have a problem with the timing chain?

I have someone interested in buying my 900. Someone has told them that timing chain replacement is a maintenance item (similar to honda's timing belt replacement schedule). I have never, ever heard of an issue with the timing chain on the saab 16V engine. There is absolutely no mention of recommended replacment in the manual, and the bentley mentions that it is normally not a maintenance issue. Has anyone ever had one break, or get so worn as to ruin the valves?
