Just wanted to share my excitemnt over having just put my first SPG ('88)on the road. almost a year ago, i saw her sitting back from the road in a dirt lot. the front end was damaged, but the kit and minilites on her looked good. I was never able to find out who the owner was, until I saw her on ebay recently. My mechanic checked it out, and it turned out to be a pretty easy fix...radiator and support, intercooler, grill, lights and hood. I had everything but the extra hood and the support (unfortunately I had just scrapped an '87t and didn't save it). I won the car and had it towed 2 miles to my mechanic's a couple days ago. it was ready to go the next day. I picked her up this morning, and my mechanic said, "unfortunately, you're going to have to take care of this one. She drives like she's new. I wish I had seen it first." looking at the repair receipts, it's no wonder...the owner had spent about $3,000 on her not too long before the accident (two years ago now). I got the car and repaired it for the equivalent of the minilites and 4 good tires. I'm glad to welcome her to the family. She's in good company.
