I had ordered a distributor from The Saabsite a few weeks ago for my 88 900 SPG and the plug for the Hall Effect Sensor will not plug into the sensor on the distributor. The unit I ordered was #7481393 and it says that it is for turbo cars years 86-94 so I was wondering if the wrong distributor was sent. The part # that I recieved was 0 986 237 626. I noticed that another dist., the same part # (7481393) is offered, but at a higher price. Are they exactly the same or are the sensor plugs of a different type.

The prongs on the old distributor look like this [| | |] , however the prongs on the new distributor look like this [---], this is what you would see looking straight down at the Hall effect sensor. The old distributor and Hall effect sensor was pretty much destroyed by the heat from the turbo and the plastic on the sensor literally fell apart in my hands when i went to unplug it. I will have to use a new dist. and if this is the only model dist. that I can get then I will need a new plug to splice onto where the old one is right now, so that it will plug into the dist. correctly.

I checked the catalog to see if they sold the plug and cable that connects to the Hall Effect Sensor but didnt see it, does anyone know of anywhere else that could sell this, I'm at the point of having to go to a junk yard to see if I can find the correct plug.
