Radio Wiring Question - '93 900S

Ok, here is a somewhat complex wiring question for the sound system in a 1993 900S. Bear with me.
I have an '87 900T, I have a Kenwood CD Receiver that I'd hooked into my car using a Crutchfield wiring adapter harness, worked great.
I'm getting rid of my car and am giving my CD receiver to a friend with the '93 900S. I thought it would be as simple as taking out his stock Clarion cassette deck, and plugging in my harness to his Saab's wiring, and slipping in the Kenwood head unit.
I came very close, but there is a wiring descrepancy between the two cars. As you know, one of the 2 main harnesses carries antenna power, switched power and all that stuff. The other harness should carry all speaker audio. In my old Saab, that speaker harness had 8 wires on it, 2 for each car speaker. On his '93 900S, his speaker harness has only four wires going to it, all along one side: blue, green, yellow, brown. This corrosponds to the front speaker audio connectors coming from the Kenwood. So all I get after installing this is front speaker sound. Nothing from the back.
I'm assuming that the rear audio isn't fed into the Saab via the usual thin little wires in the harness, but instead through the big blue-taped DIN connector that used to connect to the stock Saab head unit. My old '87 turbo didn't have this DIN connector. Is there any way to make the rear speaker connection feed into my little Crutchfield harness? Or am I doomed?
Thanks!
Orion
