hello again to you all. I just ran accross an '88 900s that needs a ton of work including but not limited to: new exhaust, head gasket, brakes, but seems to shift ok once the clutch is properly stomped down and looks good for the year and only has 133000 miles on it. the guy wants $500, and I said I'd have to think it over since the work required is pretty extensive from what I could see. he said "make an offer" as I left. I have felt this feeling before... I took on an '88 9000 turbo and rescued it too. my question is this: what the hell is my problem to even consider a car that will be at least 20-30 hours of my time and probably around $1000 in parts? if I can get it for 400, should I? I have done all of these repairs to the aforementioned 9000 as well as my poor old '88 900t convertible (wrecked, R.I.P.). anybody gonna talk me out of this?
