NT,it took almost NO effort to move battery to trunk...

I got some #2 cable, and ran it from the starter to the trunk via a factory portal in the firewall. I pulled up the carpet on the driver's side to hide the cable. The cable is hidden in the grove and is not noticeable, even as a bump. I used plastic ties to hold it in place. The starter is electrically connected to the rest of the harness, so you don't need to run any other wires to the original batery terminal plugs. I covered them up with thick plastic to prevent acidental sparking. The battery itself grounds to the stock rear end grounding screw. I used pre-made blue GM type grounding wire, and for the red "hot side" I got a bung which I crimped(hammered really) onto the starter side of the #2 wire, and a screw on battery terminal connector for the battery side. I then covered both terminals with red and black plastic protectors. The battery is held in place using a battery hold down attached to the spare tire. I used an Optima Yellow, so spillage is not a concern.

Super easy job. Super results, and now my downpipe fits.
