The answer gorper gave you about the brake microswitch is spot on. I know: I just got my cruise working. And as for the behind-the-dash repairs, now would be the time to replace the bulbs for the HVAC controls and seat belt light. And hold off replacing the knee bolster until the cruise works. That's where the cruise ECU is.
Now as for the LED lights, I assume you are talking about the illumination for the gauge cluster. Post when you get those in. At full volume, mine are barely readable at night. And they're new bulbs. I found a source online for direct LED replacements, but I haven't tried them. Yet.
