Sometimes a gasoline smell will come from failing seals above the fuel pump and fuel level senders, both under the trunk/hatch floor. Pull the floor out (two Torx screws) and sniff away.
When George Harrison appears, stop sniffing and get into some fresh air.
Oil leaks can come from the aforementioned seals, as well as the engine-to-transmission seal, a bad drain plug seal, and various high- and low-pressure power steering lines. A leaky valve cover gasket, failed crank pulley gasket, distributor, or half-moon valve cover gasket can also lead to an oil leak.
I almost forgot the transmission- rear cover, side covers, lower cover, drain plug (92 most likely didn't have one) or where the shift rod exits the gearbox near the firewall.
I know, lots of options; this is the nature of hunting down oil leaks. Degrease and clean the engine, then check back in a day or so.
