Cool Tool for Slave cylinder replacement (long)

To make getting the 5mm internal hex head bolts snugged down in the slave
cylinder a bit easier I bodged together a quick and cheap home-made "very short" 5mm x 1/4" drive socket. I cut a piece 11/16" long off the end of a long 5mm Allen wrench with a good sharp hacksaw blade. Then I took a pair
of vice grips and a hammer ( wear safety glasses ) and beat on one end of the little stub allen key until it mushroomed just a bit. Wrap a layer or
two of teflon tape around the stub and push it through the back end of a
5mm x 1/4" drive socket so that the mushroomed end snugs up inside the socket. The allen stub will stick out of the business end of the socket about 3/16" which is deep enough to fully engage the bolt head but minimises the overall size of the wrench and socket combo. This unit fits into that tight space between the pressure plate and the slave cylinder. When you're done with the project you can just pust the allen stub out the back end of the 5mm socket and save it for the next clutch job. It took me longer to write this down than to make the tool.... Just thought I'd share this after using so much of the good advice I've found on this board. Thanks to all you folks for your helpfull posts.
