Important to have ALL the needles in the tripod brng?

So thanksgiving night I was driving back to my house... Threw it in reverse and started backing up with a vengence and was welcomed with a nice crack followed by some rattling I hope to never hear again from my newly acquired '85 900SPG.
Turns out the driver's side lower control arm broke and my axle popped out of the inner driver. Two weeks later, everything is back together and running strong. Except in the process I removed the tripod bearing and lost (1) of the little needles that sit under the metal bearing. I scoured the work area to no avail and put it back together.
My question is... Is this likely to have any long term repercussions?
I also want to say thanks to everyone on this site... over the last three years it has helped me in a number of tight spots and saved me thousands of dollars.
