I had an '84 with 92,000 original miles that I sold recently. I liked it a lot but they do have some issues. The fuel injection system is an old design that's kind of complicated and can be a little difficult. They also have problems with the brakes that can be expensive to fix and a few other minor things that are well covered on this board. None of it is a real deal breaker as long as you aren't looking to put 30K a year on the car. As for your '95, what's the rest of it like? Fixed or not it really doesn't have much resale value. The real question is does it have transportation value? If you put an engine in it could you drive it another two years without fixing anything expensive, ie the trans? If so it might be worth it. The '95 is nicer, quieter and more comfortable to drive but the '85 is easiler to work on yourself.
