If this is the first time you've changed the fuel filter in a long while, throw some injector cleaner in first, then after that tank of fuel is nearly exhausted, change the fuel filter. My favorite is BG44K; Chevron Techron concentrate may be more widely available.
I just use the Bosch fuel filters- no problems there yet, but I'm also pretty strict about the maintenance intervals in her older age.
Other things on the list for the 60K: cap and rotor (I prefer Bosch here; Napa stuff just DOES NOT WORK), plugs (NGK, Bosch, NOT Autolite), wires if they're leaky or resistive, air filter (unless using a permanent filter) and the fuel filter after FI cleaner. You can change the oxygen sensor if it is old or it has the "lazy signal" characteristic of old and worn sensors, or you can defer that. Clean out the throttle body and air intake when you're in there, check for vacuum leaks, and probably bleed through some fresh brake fluid, not forgetting the clutch fluid too.
That's my 60k, plus or minus a few things.
