was in the garage being serviced (new t-stat and fresh oil). When I went to start the BMW (-5 F), it immediately flooded. It popped off, then died. When I tried to restart it, it totally flooded itself out.
The battery is only 6 months old, and I was able to get about 6-7 total minutes of cranking out of it. (My poor, poor starter. I just didn't want to give up!) When I know it's flooded, I use the full throttle method of clearing it. Hopefully the computer is smart enough to know that.
I came back twice with no avail. On the 3rd attempt, after a couple of hours, it started right up. No throttle input at first, and that was all it needed. All that liquid fuel just needed to run past the rings!
Oh, and it's got Mobil 1 15-50 in it. By now, it probably down to 10-40 with all the fuel! Hehehe.
