I drive my beloved 1991 900 SAAB about once a week and approx. 3 months ago she began failing me. I would be cruising along and after 30 minutes or so she would lose power (as if there was a fuel delivery issue), coming back to life if I kept my foot on the accelerator. This problem has steadily degenerated with the addition of stalling out, but being able to re-start after letting fully cool down. Two mechanics swear she drives just fine for them. (!?!) And the fuel pump and pressure something have already been replaced. I spoke with a family mechanic (that I am no where geographically near) based on an issue my Gramma had with her last SAAB and he suggested it may be the injection module. Ring any bells for anyone? Does this seem sound? Should I have locals replace the part (should price approx. $120 from what I gather, seem right?) without being sure that's it? Could it be connected to the steering somehow? There is definitely something wrong with the power steering as it goes to about half-power after 10 minutes or so driving, does this matter to anything aside from my biceps? All advise greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for any guidance.
