I posted the answer to this just a few days ago answering a long-ago post of same problem, figuring someone looking for answers might use the "search"feature of this bulletin board and find it. It's a more refined version of RS's answer above; use three 1/2"NC nuts, remove 3 of the 6 clutch bolts, loosen other 3, pry pressure plate up and prop 3 nuts under ears that stick out. Tighten the 3 remaining bolts down again and pressure plate releases; insert the special tool (Saab part # 87-91-618, cost me $12.55 in Aug. 2003) and remove 3 bolts and nuts and proceed. I mic the Saab tool at 4 mm or .161" if you can find some stock identical or get a long strip of thick sheet metal cut and make your own, a hoop about 6 1/2" around. I tried electrician's fish tape but it's not quite thick enough. Saab bends one leg in a little and then vertical, to help installing and removing it.
