I have a problem I am sure someone will have encountered before. From cold, I drive out onto the highway from my house and if I open either a window or the sunroof a get a very strong whiff of exhaust fumes. This only ever happens if you open the sunroof or a window, and almost always only happens in the first 1km or so, then is fine until the next time.
I imagined at first that it was exhaust from the tailpipe being pulled back through the car by the vacuum created by opening the sunroof, but I am not so sure as I have carefully checked the hatch seal which seems perfect and there does not seem to be any other path for the fumes to enter the car. I have had the exhaust system checked and there seems to be no leak when they block the end of the pipe for a few seconds. Any clues anyone?? As much as I love my 900 it is really awful getting fumes inside.
