1) Weird sh!t happens when saab battery terminals are coroded. Remove, clean and replace.
2) if the guy did not use Bougicord wires, and Saab cap and rotor, you might get issues.
3) If the guy used anything other than NGK 5, 6, or 7 series spark plugs Saabs will frequently get these symptoms, (ask me how I know). Saabs like NGK! If the plugs are gapped incorrectly you will get issues too.
4) if the guy screwed up the distributer timing, you might present this way.
5) if the wires to the coil are loose or corroded you can present this way.
6) a screwed up alternator ground wire can occasionally present this way.
7) if there is no oil in the radiator fluid and there is no oil blowing out of the dipstick area and there is no floury of bubbles blowing out of the rad fluid overflow tank, a bad headgasket is less likely.
8) Bad ground wires or a poorly grounded engine can occasionally do this.
9) I would find a Saab mechanic and a new mechanic overall. Your guy charged too much and NEVER should have given the car back you or charged you if he had not improved its condition.
