but I also agree that now you need to step up to where the big boys play. Spend the 20-30 dollars for the compression tester and have at it.

You might also try a swap from cylinder to cylinder with the fuel injectors. Time consuming, annoying, but free and might give great info.

First, I would do the ol' screwdriver test. First because this test costs you nothing, is very easy, and can give valuable data. Pull the wires one by one and see if any one wire has crappy spark by putting a screwdriver into the wire and seeing how far away from the engine block you can move it before you get no spark to jump across. If the 2 cylinder is low, you have an answer.

If an injector is partially clogged open, as I suspect, try adding 1/2 gallon of diesel to your tank and then fill up with 93 octane. This will clean the injector. You will have a cloud of white smoke trail you until after the tank empties, but my Saab mechanic friend tells me it is safe and easy and does no harm. He is the one who told me this is the best way to clean injectors. He told me the second best way is adding Chevron cleaner additive to your gasoline.
