Actually it is possible to put aero/super aero's on the older C900's. The wheels just need to be redrilled. I did that to my 87 SPG a few years back.
Anyways, I decided to go aftermarket partially because aero/suer aero wheels are so common on C900's. I wanted my car to be different thus aftermarket is where I went. If the 17's are not to wide & have the proper offset aswell as the properly sized tires rubbing should be minimal if at all. Grp9 sells intrax & they are great springs, however if you have a little more $$$ definantly look at Brad's adjustable springs, amazing!
FWIW I get less rubbing (none actually) in the rear o my SPG with 18x7 225-35/40 then I did with 16 in aero wheels with 205-50's.
