Just stripped thread on lower control arm. :(

I'm in the middle of my front rebuilt on my 91 900NA and was making good progress putting everything back together. Then I stripped the thread on the lower control arm front shock mount. According to the Bentley, I'm supposed to use 90 - 100 Nm. I did not even use my air tools on this one and was tightening with my torque wrench and it just never reached the right force. How common is this? I had not read about this before on the BBS. I guess my only option is a new lower control arm, which will mean I can't finish it until next weekend.
I started on this before X-mas but it has taken some time with the rain in California. I hope I can finish the job soon because I miss my car.
Please let me know if there are other options.
