I wouldn't worry about it. Dot 3 will be fine. If you really want to switch it for DOT 4 you will need to bleed the system at each wheel and the clutch as well. If the current DOT 3 fluid is fresh then just leave it alone. If it is 2 years old (or more) then go ahead and change it- good maintenance.
