Here's the page from Townsend Imports that shows the transmission numbers. The number that you'll want to look for is an oval tag on top of the primary case with a number that starts with "GM" (meaning gearbox, manual).
The lines that have something to the effect of ">[gearbox number]" show the end of the run and the lines that have "[gearbox number]>" indicate the beginning of the next run.
If it's a GM55600, it's the old style. If GM 55602, new style. Assuming that nobody changed the transmissions and kept the primary case.
The first "5" indicats that it has the hydraulic front mount.
