Congratulations (girl power!). Don't forget to disconnect your battery first(!) and if you end up hosing things down it's a good idea to leave it disconnected until things dry out.

Regarding going to the dealer to get your Saab fixed, here's the story of my first (and last) visit to the service department of the nearest Saab dealer:
my first Saab was an '89 turbo which was about six years old when the thermostat failed and the car overheated - no apparent damage so I just replaced it and went on with life until the car began to have ignition problems about a month later - I took off the distributor cap, saw the distributor interior covered with a thin film of oil and concluded that I had cooked a rubber o-ring in the base of the distributor when the car overheated. This to me was logical (about on the level of the monkey and the banana tree). Not so to my local Saab dealer - I shared my explanation with them when I dropped off the car. They were unimpressed. I asked them how they would approach the problem. They said they would replace the computer first; I said you mean you would try another 'computer' in the car; they said no they would replace it; I said who pays for this experiment? they said "you do" (over a thousand bucks); (playing along) I said "if that isn't the problem what will you do? "then we'll replace the distributor (between 6 and 700$Cdn)". By this time my car was getting its complimentary wash. I interrupted the wash, thanked them for the offer of the free latte (the car started, fortunately) and backed out, never to return.

The story had a happy ending. It was indeed the distributor leak that was the problem and my favourite Saab mechanic put in a used one for $150.
