at the stage of starting reassembly of block after machining, etc. Crank has been polished, machinist said it was at outer edge of spec. for wear.
plastigaged mains and they are fine (using new Vandervell bearings for mains and cons). however, con rod bearings showing about 2.5 thou clearance. Max spec from manual is 2.4.
how critical is this? should i get crank turned down say 8.5 thou and get .010 oversize bearings? if so, anyone know a source for 010 bearings?
thx
