I have just completed a one-month project on my 91 900NA. It started with the replacement of the inner driver and I fell victim to the "while-I'm-in-there" syndrome. I ended up with a new inner driver, wheel bearings, sway bar bushings, lower A-arm bushings, ball joints, tie-rod joints, brake disks, brake pads, brake lines, and I rebuilt both front calipers (the shocks are already pretty recent).

After putting everything back together, I needed to bleed the brakes. Having sat for so long, there was no pressure left in the accumulator. Even though the brake fluid looked pretty good (about 1 year old), I removed all the brake fluid from the reservoir and poured fresh fluid in and bled the brakes with the Motive pressure bleeder.

Over the last year I noticed that the time it took for the ABS/Brake lights to go off was a lot longer (about 15 sec after an overnight rest) but was still within spec. I figured that my accumulator was getting old and it was going to get worse eventually. To my surprise, after this big pressure release and purge, my times are much shorter. I need to do some more measurements, but it looks like 2 - 3 seconds for the light to go out.

I don't know why it happened, but you might try this in case you are having problems with slow pressure built-up. It wasn't a big deal but this will put a lot less wear and tear on the ABS pump.

So far the car is driving good so the rebuilt was a success. It will be good for the next 180k miles. The only disappointment I have is that I sent out my driver's seat to an upholstery place to firm up the foam a little and they added way too much. Even with the seat in the lowest position, I have to tilt my head to not touch the roof (I'm 6 foot). So I will have to take it out again and remove some of the inserts.
