I bought a 1987 turbo about 6 months ago and have never driven it because I've been working on restoring it and pretty soon am having a rebuilt trans put in..
my problem is I have most components out of the engine area.. I noticed that the bar (frame) that the front engine mount conects to (by radiator and clutch) looks very slightly bent.
the engine mount itself had 2 peices of rubber strip on top of it and is haeld in place by two plastic ez ties..
the car was in a slight accident on the pass corner side before I got it and the damage from that so far was that I replced the hood and body work to corner fender and turn signal and headlight and pass cooling fan and have the radiator support coming because it's slightly off on that side..
can anyone tell me if this is something that I should worry about - I know I need to replace the front engine mount, but when I do, will it solve the problem or do I need to have someone bend it back - can it be bent back upward slightly?
