On my '94 Convertible I was also running into some strange electrical gremlins similar to what you are describing. Radio cutting off, ABS light coming on, 12.8V on Battery with engine on, car conking out on the road with a dead battery when driving for 20 minutes. After replacing the VR and still not solving the problem, I took a knife and peeled back the sheathing over the positive battery cable. What a mess! Green nasty rotted cable. Replaced the cable with an OEM battery cable, and it has cured all my low voltage woes. Car is running awesome!
The radio 'cutting off' should have nothing to do with a side impact collision. Your car is of the age and mileage that Alternator VR and battery wires will probably need to be replaced.
If you don't have a Bentley - go get one. Research this board extensively and it will save you lots of stress when problems like this occur. The C900's are very nice cars, but are getting up there in age. You will need to become very familiar with all the signs of aging and trouble shooting if you want to continue to be in love with your car.
Good luck and keep us informed on your troubleshooting.
