first, note that the stud footprint changed on i believe 87+ Saabs as they went to a different (lighter) booster so if you do replace your booster make sure you get the correct design or else your MC wont hook up at all.
for what its worth they also changed the design of the MC in how the brake lines hook up to it.
second, i took a booster to a local brake shop (nothing but brake components, mainly for semi's etc) and they were able to replace the seal and bench test the booster to ensure it held vacuum. Seal plus labour was under $40 iirc. maybe they had a seal that fit because i dont think they got a dealer seal...
