Given the very short trips when the engine/transmission has not reached full operating temperature, your MPG is reasonable. Although there appears to be a fairly wide variety of MPGs achieved on this bulletin board, the Saab is still fairly hard on fuel. Also the car is pretty heavy and the convertible even more so. Consequently, lots of stop start accelerating (plus short trips) will eat the stuff up. Take your car out for a long (summer) trip and you will probably be pleasantly surprised by the improvement. A good tune up can only help. In older days of only leaded fuel, the exhaust pipe in a well tuned car would be grey - the change to unleaded has made this indicator more unreliable. I would also be looking at your codes, checking the output from the O2 sensor (this does not necessarliy bring up the check engine light) etc.
