Hello Don, we came very close to moving Group 9 Performance to that area and I know it well! The closest (48 miles) major Saab (and Volvo) shop to Ithaca is Geneva Foreign and Sports (315-789-4575) the owners, Dan and his son also Dan, are very knowledgeable and great to deal with. On your way to Watkins Glen you pass right through Burdett where Joe Ottati (607-546-8479) a good friend of mine has a funky little shop where he does a little work on Saab's but mostly just on cars he resells. He would be great for little stuff being just 20 miles from Ithaca and he has lots of used parts plus he keeps new convenience items in stock. For something real major like engine or especially transmission replacement problems Claude Hutchings of Tired Iron is in Sauquoit which is 99 miles north east of Ithaca. Claude is well known for his Classic 900 standard transmission work but lives and breaths (and Races!) Saab's! Do you go the Cornell University? Take care, Dave
