This message board and I have become very good friends, as it seems that something new goes wrong with my 91 900 n/a just about once a month. Nothing all too serious yet, but I have antifreeze pouring out of somewhere, hopefully its just a water pump gasket or hose, I'll find out Friday. I was talking to my Dad last night and he was saying that I should start thinking about a new car. I disagree completely. I bought this car 5 years ago for $600. I have replaced the power steering, the water pump, the harmonic balancer, the alternator, the thermostat, the thermoswitch. I just did the ball joints last weekend (before the leak started). It also has a new FPR, fuel pump and voltage regulator and shocks. I bought it with 85,000miles on it, its now up to 165,000. I LOVE this car, even if she does cause me a lot of trouble. When she runs (and she runs smoother than any car I have ever driven), I get 30mpg and even though its not a turbo, its got a 5speed and its fun to drive. I am in school now, I just got a second job, but money is still tight (damn valentines day...too expensive). I might be able to scrape together about $4000 to buy a new car, thats if i were to sell the saab. There isn't a $4000 car out there that is going to be better or even more reliable than my SAAB is there? Hondas don't count...i refuse to drive one.
