Ball joint bolts best with impact

I've done it both ways, broken the heads off, then pounded out the remaining stud with lots of PBlaster & a bfHammer. I'd rather have a root canal. The impact not only breaks the nut free, but also turns the bolt through the rusted bore of the ball joint. I sometimes have to use an old bolt to help push it through from the other side, but the hammering, twisting action of the impact pulls out even the rustiest bolts, without any penetrating oil.
