Yes, Jordan is right, that you can easily damage your synchros, or rather, most usually the sliding "dogs" that key the synchro "muff" to the shaft. You should NOT get on the gas before you're all the way in a particular gear 'cause the only thing carrying the power till you're fully engaged in a gear is three little spring-backed keys, in some cars forged and in some stamped out of thick sheet metal and hardened.
So it usually happens when you're trying to shift extra fast up the gears with massive dumping of power but you mess up and dump the clutch too soon. It bends, shears or breaks those keys and you can't slide the shifting fork any more.
A downshift could do it too, but I don't think you did that, and even if you did you'd only have the problem in one gear or a pair of gears (same muff moves in both directions) and you describe problems in all gears.
So, as he and I seem to concur, look first to air in your clutch line, probably from a failing clutch master cylinder.
This isn't highly technical and I haven't dealt with a Saab tranny since my late 1972 '99 but in general it's where trouble usually happens inside there.
