Sounds like a sales pitch huh? The other night i was polishing the cases on my 1972 Yamaha XS2 (the early 650) and had a rag with some Mothers Mag Wheel and Aluminum Polish on it and saw some gunk on my taillight plastic lens. the car is an 84 900 T with maybe 175K on it. The taillight lenses look like someone scrubbed them with steel wool. I took the rag over there to wipe off the gunk and to just clean it up a bit, well I'll be darned if that Mothers didnt polish and shine to an almost mirror finish those lenses.

try it if you have some, I did the taillights on both cars and both bikes, as well as the corner lamps and lights in the grill.
