Nice post!

I just had to do this to my 94 CE convertible. The one thing I have to add is about using a Multi-meter to test for continuity.

This was my first time using one in this way. I wanted to know if the wire was broken before I took out the seat.

Separate the larger of the two block plug connections under the seat.
Plug one of the prongs from the meter into the yellow wire socket and one into the socket with 2 black wires coming out of the back. Set the multimeter to the Ohms scale.If the wire is broken, you will get a reading of 1, no matter how you adjust the scale. Check the other connections as well, in case the wire colors are different, but leave one prong in the double black socket.

I had a reading of 1, so I took out the seat by removing the 4 torx head bolts on the rails.

My wire was broken under the horseshoe-shaped wire that Ray described.

After soldering the broken wire, my meter read 4.3 on the 200k setting when plugged into the same sockets.
