I made my own. Turned it out of walnut burl to match the gauge surround in my '94 900T Comm Ed.. You have to destroy a regular shift knob to make one. You need the hard plastic innards that slip onto the shaft. Just cut an old knob apart to get at it. Bore a hole down the center of your turned knob and glue the plastic thingy inside. If you don't use the OEM innards, the knob will turn on the shaft with repeated shifting. Or worse yet will come off in your hand. You also need to mill a recess in the top to fit the shift diagram disc into. As an added touch I milled a little recess at the thickest part of the knob to slip a black o-ring into for sure grip. The OEM wood knobs had this as well. I've recently seen both leather and wood knobs on ebay.
