HELP, what might I have messed up?

Ok, so by trial and error (after installing my transmission) I think I have the wires correct on my 88 900 SPG. However now my oil pressure low light doesn't come on at start up, and the alternator is not charging (car is running with batter at 11.8 volts).
So the question is: What did I mess up?
Here is the sequence of events:
1. Yellow wire to oil pressure switch, Green/White to top starter post, Blue to bottom starter post.
Turned Key, no crank (of course).
2. Swapped green/white and blue wire positions on starter.
Turned Key, no crank (of course).
3. Cut open insulation on yellow wire to find it was yellow, yellow to top starter post, green/white to bottom starter post, and blue to oil pressure switch.
Turned Key, no oil light, started up (with jump box), and ran at 11.8V after jump box was removed.
I'm guessing my oil pressure switch is fried, and maybe the voltage regulator or alternator?
Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks for reading!!
Best Regards,
Chris
