If the noise you're getting is when the engine is cold and right after startup and sounds like a chirping or screeching sound, it's most likely your crank pulley going bad. At 107 it's right on schedule. Two metal pieces are stuck together with a rubber vibration damper, and after a while that rubber degrades.
My alternator light stays on below something like 1400 RPM when it's really cold out; I have yet to fix a mildly corroded alternator warning light wire.
If the voltage regulator or alternator are bad the light should be on all the time. In really serious cases, like when my VR died, the alternator light will light up, then turn off because there wasn't enough juice to light it up. At that point, it was around four hours until the battery completely discharged.
Anyway, search the bulletin board on "crank pulley" for the chalk test, and have at it.
