The failure mode of the crank pulley is to have the rubber 'sandwich' fail. Then the different parts of the pulley go their separate ways. One thing that will destroy the rubber is time. The other is exposure to oil. If the seal has been leaking for some time, and given the age of the pulley, I would replace it. Especially since getting to the pulley is such an unmitigated pain in the 900. On a 9000 it's easy, so unless it looked bad, I'd leave it be. But on a 900, if you're in there, you don't want to go back in any time soon.
I would go with eEuroparts or Sobstory. I've had good luck with both. I wouldn't go cheap on this pulley - again, replacing it is a major pain.
While in there, I'd replace the oil pump O-ring. It's the ring between the oil pump and timing chain cover. They like to leak on occasion. Unlike No Name, I wouldn't replace the oil pump, not unless you've been showing signs of low oil pressure. The oil pump (housing and gears) are pretty bulletproof on this car.
