It was 41.7celsius here today...in us$ that is about 132, 093F...and i was told that it is my evaporator giving me problems - not the condensor, as i was led to believe...so here is what i have been told by the bloke who has done all of the work on my car and who i have never had a problem with..."as the hose leading into the evaporator degrades small pieces of the tube (I'm assuming silicone or rubber)get blasted along and hit the TX valve (that would the valve from...!)where it sucks onto the valve due to the temperature variant...here in australia this is a common problem, irregardless of refrigerants, ozone layers or the fact that most of sweden holidays in hot climates (like here therefore i wish they would take there newfound appreciation of japanese/korean aircon home with them...). And the TX valve is v.v. expensive here about US$240.00 so has anyone encountered this saga and how have they overcome it...am prepared to swap wipers from headlights and heated seats in exchange for info...failing that i will put Helga out to Ebay for US$25,000 (she is so much nicer than that tacky red one (apologies to all red conv. owners...see post below)..Any help appreciated...
