Is that the Oz equivalent of "Lions, and Tigers, and Bears ... Oh, my!" :-)

There was a recent article on one of the web news services about someone who had a pet walaby somewhere in Ohio, USA. Kinda neat, actually.

Nice writeup, BTW. All my poor SAAB ever gets to do is go back and forth from home to work and to rehearsals. The only things that leap out are the occasional death-crazed squirrel and moths the size of canned hams (they make a b-i-i-i-ig mess on the windshield.)

I recently replaced a bad bulb on one of the dash lights.

On the matter of the bulbs, y'all have take off the speaker cover in front of the instrument cluster, being very careful not to tear the vinyl skin of the dash with the spring that secures the middle rear corner of the panel. It's not the easiest thing to get in there, but the illumination bulbs have the two largest holders. It takes a bit of strength to turn them because of the odd location, but 1/4 turn disengages them. Be careful not to tear or scratch the electrical foil (it's copper traces on a plastic film, not a circuit board) when you put them back in.

Mark, I'd bet that you have a bad rheostat or a loose connection to the rheostat. IIRC, there's something on Twinsaabs.com in their dash removal section about fixing the rheostat. Or you could just bypass it.

Cheers, guys.
