Not too bad, I just did this on my LHD 89 900 5sp, I'm sure the auto is similar.
The part near the throttle body is pretty simple, 2 10mm bolts as I recall. I had to use some pliers to gently pry back the metal where the cable connects to the plate. Make a note of measuring where the plastic threads are on the existing one. That way you know how far to thread the new one..
I was able to do the other side thru the drivers speakers grill opening (passengers for you..) Remove the 2 torx screws holding the cable to the firewall.
The cable simple clips into the metal lever of the accelerator pedal. I have no idea how this linkage exists on a RHD car, but careful use of the pedal will allow you to get the top of the arm in position to remove the cable. You'll also have to remove the cruise chain (if so equiped..)
