you're right, engine number on mine is B201.2.102M, head stamp is 9H84B (don't know if this is relevant for anything.) with belt driven water pump..
So with all new found knowledge in mind, any 8valve head from H engine (81-84/85) would potentially be a snug replace my current head, right??
Any tips on what i should look for in a good 2nd hand head that hasn't been profesionally tested? I'm up with testing for warpage, value-cam gap and visuals signs of value burn/pitting. Are there any other tell tale signs of damage that i should be looking for. Whats the max expected mileage on one of these old heads? (knowing the bottom end has an expected life span of around the 500k km mark..)
I'm from Hobart Tasmania Australia. Theres plenty of classic 900's still on the road down here and parts are easy to come by...
