1988 model year. Therefore, there isn't a Haynes manual for your car. The Haynes manual is still worth buying because it has some useful info, but to get the bulk of what's specific to your car you need to shell out for a Bentley.
Why doesn't someone write auto manuals that are practical and useful and tell you nut sizes, tools that work best to remove certain parts, angles to take things out at, instead of dry, stuffy and often wrong information with helpful hints like "Remove" ?
Haynes claims all its manuals are based on a complete teardown but it's a lie because if they were they wouldn't tell you to do some of the things they say to do.
Best how-to-do-it instructions I've seen are the ones on Townsendimports web site, also Saabsite, ones on Saab fanatics' personal web sites like twinsaabs, and ones I've read here, either on FAQa or in user posts.
