So your not replacing the Alt???

The alternator removal is not entirely easy... and if you can avoid it do. But if that is your only resolution...
I do not reccomend removing the oil filter (not necessary)... but remove the a/c and place it over the other side of the engine. Remove the Alt belt and top mount bolt to the Alt. The forward bolt to the bottom alt. braket is a torx head. This is the one next to the oil filter that is very difficult to get at. I used 3-4 extentions with an elbow and torx bit driver. After removing this bolt the bottom bracket will swival enough to remove the bottom alt bolt. I got hung up on this one for awhile but the rest will be more obvious.
